Social Clowning

Humanitarian Clowns India Chapter visits all kinds of different Social Service Organisations based in Vellore on a weekly basis, assisting staff, family members and patients to be happy during hard times.

Every week a team of volunteers dress up as clowns to visit Hospitals, medical Centres, Orphanges and Disability Homes to bring joy and happiness to some of the most disadvantaged individuals in India.

Organisations we support:

NATPU (New life agency for tribal people up liftment)—residential home for tribal Children, Amirthi

• Nambaikai niliyam – (Psychiatric department), Bagayam

• Rehabilitation centre, CMC Bagayam

• Sisu Bhavan (missionaries of charity), Officer lane, Vellore

• Nirmal Hirday (old age home) sembakkam, Vellore

• Anbuillam (disabled home), Sainathapuram

• Karigiri (Leprosy ward), Karigiri

• Shanthi Grammam (old age home), Karigiri

• Hope foundation (female children residential hostel),

• Organisation for rural development (home for sexual abused female and destitute womens), Sripuram

• Tribal school at maradavellimedu (Tribal school children).

Clown Training

Humanitarian Clowns Indian Chapter runs Clown training programs at Seb's Projects India for all volunteers participating on our Social Clown outings.

We host training sessions to teach different ways to Clown and connect with the patients and families we visit including interaction skills in a compassionate and empathetic way, we may also teach you to juggle, basic magic tricks and different laughter yoga skills to help promote a happy enviroment on your clowning experience

Hosts Humanitarian Clowns International Trip

Once a year Seb's Projects India hosts the International Humanitarian Clowns team for a three week project of daily Social Clowning with our partnering Organisations in Vellore and Chennai.

Every year over 15 International Clowns will arrive in Vellore to partner up with Humanitarian Clowns India Chapter to continue providing a service to our partners. This is a great opportunity to participate in their workshops, learn new skills and Clown with International Clowns.
