OUR STORY

In 2012 Humanitarian Clowns was born and became a registered non profit Organisation based in Australia by a small team of dedicated individuals lead by the founder Tim Webster (Timbadim the Clown).

Tim's vision was to create an Australian Organisation based on Doctor Patch Adam's Organisation called "The Gesundhiet Inst". Tim and his mother "Nanna Fairy" spent time with Patch Adams in Costa Rica visiting Hospitals, Rehab Centres, Psychatric Wards and local slum towns experiencing a loving connection with the locals we met, seeing their little sad faces turn into bright shinning faces was an amazing experience not to mention the sound of their Laughter and Playfullness.

After many long hours discussing the power of being there for someone in need, Patch gave Tim the inspiration and support to come back to Australia and create an Organisation that allows anyone and everyone the opportunity to experience what Tim did in Costa Rica and to continue giving to those in need.

Tim combined both his passions International Humanitarian Aid work and Social Clowning to create "Humanitarian Clowns".

Our first focus was to create "Compassionate Clowning" within Australia, supporting local charaties with Children's Fun Days, Camps and assisting Organisations with fundraising, We have also created partnerships with local Health Care Centres, Nursing Homes, Disability Groups and local Communities offering our services to bring fun, joy and support to all indiviuals we come across, we call it "Compassionate Clowning" due to the level of confrontations that we may come across, dealing with patients in extreme pain, individuals suffering from greif or loss, confussion and those that just need a shoulder to cry upon, It is our job at Humanitarian Clowns to ease the pain and bring a little happiness back into someones life.

Humanitarian Clowns have already partnered up to assist many Organisations:
